Previously a very peculiar home sat on a great plot of land in a Hertfordshire town, with our clients wanting to maximise the width of the plot but unsure of how to navigate through the level change with the change in height from right to left. Paul and the team at UCHI Architecture designed a home that not only makes use of the sloped site but highlights it offering high ceilings, a great transition in height from one side to the other and a spectacular triple height hallway.
The home boasts Three double bedrooms (one with ensuite), a further "penthouse" second floor self contained bedroom with ensuite, an incredible vaulted master suite with mezzanine dressing area and large ensuite featuring a freestanding bath and separate shower. A Great size family bathroom with another free standing bath and separate shower, A first floor spacious office.
The ground floor includes an amazing triple height hallway with full glazing to the front and rear, an open plan kitchen, living and dining space, a music room separated with an internal glass screen door set, large pantry, A large utility room, Playroom to allow the Children to escape, a ground floor WC, large coat cupboard and a separate living room for the adults to settle into.
This home is heated by a traditional boiler but has been future proofed to allow an Air source heat pump installation in the future. It contains a mix of inset solar panels and roof mounted solar panels, fed back to a battery within the plant room/garage maximising the solar PV gain.
Spread across three floors this home comes in at an impressive 7000 square feet.
