Situated within a prestigious estate in Hertfordshire, our clients first approached us with a design that we felt could be amended to save them time and increase the thermal values of their home. Working alongside Joe at JW bespoke we were able to redesign the structure of the property with the team at OFP timber frame. This meant we were able to remove near all of the steel work initially specified and replace with a timber frame structure which is far more eco friendly and thermally efficient.
Set across one level this home has some incredible features brought by the change in ceiling levels across the property. Including three bedrooms, one generous master suite with dressing room and ensuite, a family bathroom and one further ensuite, a separate office, Plant room, WC , living room, utility, pantry and an incredible kitchen/dining/living area with quite possibly the largest ceiling height we have produced on a residential property.
This home is serviced by a traditional boiler and cylinder set within a plant area in our clients garage. An MVHR system has been installed at this home with underfloor heating throughout.
Externally we have wrapped the timber frame in handmade bespoke bricks, selected by our clients from HG Matthews a well known brick manufacturer. The externals are completed by charred timber cladding creating a sleek and modern look.
This home is set across an impressive 3200 square foot.
This project was designed by the team at JW bespoke architecture. Find out more about them within our Partners Tab within the top menu.
